Castor oil

Castor oil

Castor oil production

It is cold-pressed and colourless, with little to no taste or smell. It is extracted from the seeds of the castor bean plant. The plant has an ornamental character, is easy to grow, and in Europe, it is grown as an annual plant due to the complicated overwintering process. It measures approximately 2 metres, but in its native land, Africa, it is a perennial plant that grows to majestic heights.

Castor bean is particularly rich in omega-9 unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin E, and proteins. Its consistency is very thick, so it is mainly used to treat extremely dry skin. This natural wonder has endless positive healing and beautifying effects, and even has a wide range of uses in the cosmetics industry.

How to use castor oil

  • Hair - regular wraps with this oil will strengthen your hair from roots to ends. Apply the oil to the roots of your hair and wrap in a towel for 1 hour. Thanks to its oily texture, it nourishes the hair and provides hydration. After several uses, our hair is thicker, stronger, firmer and less prone to breakage. For an even better effect, massage the oil into the roots of your hair with each wash. The oil will take care of the appearance of your hair, but especially its health. This will also prevent hair loss, eliminate dandruff and, in addition, heal a dry scalp.
  • Eyebrows and eyelashes - Apply the oil to a cotton bud and carefully rub it into the roots of your eyelashes, being careful not to get the oil into your eyes. Eyelashes are visibly thicker after just a few days. You can also use a soaked cotton bud to rub the areas where your eyebrows have fallen out. After a few days, the eyebrows will start to grow back.
  • Hands and feet - Dry or cracked feet or dry nail surroundings? Nail infections on hands and feet? Castor oil can help. Apply oil to the affected areas every day at least twice a day. Wraps are also suitable. Apply this oil to the nail area, put on cosmetic gloves and leave on for 1 hour. For the night, apply castor oil to our feet, put on socks and leave on overnight.
  • Warts - Are you bothered by unsightly, and painful warts? Try a few drops of castor oil every day until they disappear completely. Dab the oil onto a cotton bud or pad and apply to the affected area 2–3 times a day. For a better effect, you can soak a pad in oil, apply it to the wart, tape it down, and leave it on overnight. Castor oil is very gentle. It removes the wart without damaging the surrounding skin.
  • Skin and body - Castor oil is very thick and has excellent antibacterial effects. It acts as a great moisturising cream for very dry skin and fights the formation of acne. In the evening, after cleansing your skin, apply a few drops of oil to your skin. The oil absorbs very quickly, so you don't have to worry about greasy bedding. It also acts as a prevention against the formation of wrinkles. The sooner you start using this oil, the less likely you are to get very deep wrinkles in the future.
Sunburnt skin or red pimples appearing on it? Castor oil also has a positive effect against this. Simply rub it on the affected areas and you will see a difference in a few days. Red spots are visibly reduced, and burnt skin is rehydrated and looks healthy again.

Warning

Although castor oil has many positive effects, it may not suit every user's needs. Before applying, do a small test. Drop a few drops of oil on the inside of your forearm. Here, our skin is extra thin and sensitive. If no adverse reaction occurs within a few minutes, we can continue applying to the face, body, scalp, etc.

Beware of consuming castor oil! It has strong laxative effects, which in minimal consumption can help with constipation, for example, but conversely, in excessive doses can cause nausea, even heart failure.
