Floral waters part I.
What is floral water?
Floral waters, also known as hydrosols, are obtained by distilling flowers. They are often compared to essential oils, as they are two products that are extremely closely linked. Both are obtained by the same process - extraction. However, the effect of floral waters is gentler and less aggressive, as they are mostly made of water. Floral waters are therefore suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive, especially for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Floral waters are recognised for their cleansing, brightening, detoxifying and regenerating effects.
I recommend choosing organic floral waters to avoid exposure to pesticides.
How to store floral water?
Be careful when storing this product, as floral water is very sensitive to the development of bacteria! They must be stored away from light and heat! You can also keep them in the fridge to refresh yourself with them in the morning.
How to use floral water?
The main use of floral waters is for cosmetic purposes. They are used on the face, every morning and evening, or after removing make-up, to cleanse and balance the PH of your skin. You can apply it either by evaporation using a spray or with a make-up remover pad.
What are the properties of floral waters?
The properties of floral water may vary depending on the flower used. Here are some examples:
- Rose floral water is known for its astringent effects. It helps to tone, firm and moisturise the skin. It is especially recommended for removing red spots during strong feelings (anger, fear, sadness, stress, etc.).
- Lavender floral water has cleansing and soothing effects. It is especially recommended for its soothing effect after shaving or skin peeling. It also serves to cleanse oily, acne-prone and irritated skin. It acts as an anti-infectious barrier and can clean small wounds or scars.

What are other possible uses of floral waters?
In addition to this purely cosmetic use, as skin care, floral waters can be used in various ways according to your needs:
-
Thanks to their discreet and natural perfume, they can be used in deodorant sprays. However, this use is suitable for people who sweat little.
-
If you have a sedentary job or have a problem with blood circulation, floral waters will give you a feeling of freshness, improve blood circulation and eliminate the feeling of heavy legs at the end of the day.
- Only with a doctor's recommendation can floral waters be used internally!!! Especially for liver detoxification. For this purpose, one teaspoon a day is enough, either pure (for the bravest) or diluted in a small glass of water. Guaranteed effect!
