Hair, lips and skin - shea butter can be used anywhere!

Even Cleopatra in ancient Egypt knew about the wonderful effects of shea butter, which is why she swore by it. Shea, or Karité as it's also known, is extracted from the nuts that are the fruit of the African Shea tree. For the locals, it is a sacred tree, and it's easy to see why. It's a little miracle, and if you have it in your bathroom, you're onto a winner. Don't know how to make the most of it? Don't despair. We'll show you the benefits of the butter in the jar and where you can make the most of it.

How is it made?

As we mentioned above, Shea is obtained from nuts that are collected from the ground. The green husk is removed from it and we move on. Each nut goes through a process of cooking, sun-drying, roasting, crushing, grinding and rinsing. All of this is repeated several times until shea butter is created from the nuts. It should be noted that all processes are carried out entirely by hand, as they used to be. Only women are involved in the production.

What are its properties?

Karité should have its place in every bathroom, mainly because of its great properties. Essentially, it's a multi-purpose helper that might not look all that appealing at first glance – a white or yellow substance that melts immediately in the heat and doesn't exactly evoke pleasant feelings. Unlike other butters and oils, however, it doesn't leave a greasy film on the skin, which is a big plus. Everything that shea butter touches immediately becomes soft and pleasantly smooth, making it worth trying. What other properties does the butter have, and what does it contain?

Chemical-free - the butter is 100% natural, with no added substances and also contains many
vitamins.
Vitamins A and E - vitamin A is an experienced fighter against wrinkles and vitamin E in turn
hydrates the skin.
Fatty acids - contains palmitic, stearic, oleic, linoleic and
others, thanks to which the skin will be more flexible and also healthier.
