The 100% organic oil from the leaves of the Ocimum basillicum plant is known as sweet basil oil. It has an energizing aroma and helps to achieve better mental focus, stimulates determination. It has the ability to neutralize unpleasant odors. Diffusing basil oil can help clear the air of pathogens. The aroma of basil oil is quite strong and can become dominant in aromatic blends.

The scent of basil stimulates the mind and lifts the mood, improving focus and concentration. Basil oil has a direct effect on the digestive and respiratory system due to its antispasmodic and stimulating properties. When applied externally to the skin, it improves circulation and can relieve pain and stiffness in muscles and joints when added to a base oil and massaged into problem areas.

Use

• diffuse the oil if you need to increase concentration or if you have headaches or dizziness,
• make your own insect repellent by mixing basil oil with others (lemongrass, clove) and dilute in a suitable base,
• dilute in basic vegetable oil and apply to problem areas of the skin - pimples, insect bites, abrasions, etc.,
• create a massage mixture with basil oil and apply with gentle massage movements to sore muscles and joints to reduce discomfort,
• add a few drops of oil with your shampoo or conditioner, it will help cleanse the scalp and stimulate the growth of new and healthier hair.
