What is it?
Levan has a bioactive quality and occurs naturally in small amounts in a variety of foods. It helps lower blood cholesterol, is anti-inflammatory, acts as a prebiotic and supports bowel function. In cosmetic products, the fructans, to which levan belongs, give it great emollient power, up to 10 times that of hyaluronic serum.
