Ground olive laundry soap Tierra Verde 200g
Ground laundry soap made from 100% olive oil without palm oil and animal ingredients. Our olive soap is made from pure Greek (Kalamati region) olive oil (fatty acids), to which a base (sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide) is added so that saponification - saponification - takes place. The soap reduces the surface tension of the water and thus helps to dissolve the impurities. Unlike many similar soaps on the market, our soap does not contain palm oil.
Use
It is particularly suitable for washing children's clothes, delicate linen (silk, wool) and clothes for people with sensitive skin and allergies. You can use it on all types and colours of clothes, for hand washing and in the washing machine.
It can be used for washing all wooden surfaces in the home, for hand washing dishes and for making soap slime.
Recipe for soap slime
175 g soap flakes or ground olive soap for washing pour into a bucket with about a litre of hot water and let dissolve, stirring constantly. Add 150 g washing soda powder (dissolves grease, softens water, removes stains and disinfects), stir and let dissolve as well. Fill the entire bucket with hot water up to 10 litres. The water can be more or less, the slime is then thinner or thicker, adjust the dosage accordingly. After cooling, it has a gel to custard consistency.
Use
We dose the slime directly into the washing machine drum, about 250 ml per wash. The dosage depends on the concentration of the slime and the degree of soiling of the laundry. You will find out the ideal dosage after a few washes. Treat food, blood or grass stains with Bile soap before washing, soak heavily soiled laundry in a bath with Puer bleaching powder.
Washing with soap slime in hard water
If you have hard water (you can find out with the test strip), the results of washing with soap slime may not be satisfactory, as the soap ingredients will precipitate with the minerals in hard water and remain in the laundry fibers along with the dirt. The laundry then appears to be dusty/greyish. In this case, you can experiment with a recipe for soap slime, specifically with a proportion of washing soda, or use softener and for white laundry soap nut powder for white laundry, or gel for colored laundry, or dissolved soap flakes alone (not slime).
