Alteya Organics was born in 1999, but the actual cultivation and care of roses has been a family tradition for over a century, since the beginning of the 20th century. The organic rose fields, protected by the slopes of two majestic mountain ranges, are in the heart of the Bulgarian Rose Valley, the land of the Thracian kings and home to the most beautiful flower in the world – the Bulgarian rose.

The Alteya scientific team has been researching old traditional recipes and the miraculous effects of organic rose oil (rose otto) on the skin for years. The result was that they were able to produce a precious and limited rose organic skin and body care based on old proven recipes improved to specifically meet the needs of modern, ecologically savvy people in skin care. It is based on an exclusive compound, the patented Bio-Damascena® Skin Reviving Complex – a combination of organic essential oils and extracts. They are designed to improve the skin's resistance to environmental factors and slow down the ageing process.

The rose oil, which comes directly from rose family farms, is considered to be of premium quality with a sweet and deep multi-layered fragrance. There are many factors that contribute to the overall quality of this precious oil.

Another important factor that plays a big role in the quality of rose oil is the distillation method. Fresh rose flowers undergo a special distillation process that fully preserves the biodynamic synergy of the rose plant. Compared to the most commonly used distillation method, it is more expensive and difficult to perform, but it ensures higher quality therapeutic-grade rose oil.

RAW INGREDIENTS

The quality and therapeutic properties of essential oils or floral waters largely depend on the quality of the organic plants, the distillation technique and proper storage.

• Organic flowers are hand-picked and carefully selected to meet the required quality criteria. To achieve excellent quality, fresh plant material is immediately transported to the distillery, where the distillation process is started immediately.
• The staff are experts who are constantly improving the distillation technique to ensure the preservation of the valuable therapeutic properties of the plant. Each step of the distillation process is strictly monitored.
• Each batch of essential oil or floral water produced is tested for purity and quality using high-resolution gas chromatography analysis and laboratory tests.

Organic skincare and body care products undergo thorough testing. Excellent quality starts with excellent ingredients. Our scientific team brings hundreds of plants from organic farms and other organic suppliers for testing. Each ingredient that is part of the products must meet strict quality criteria. We never use parabens, petrolatum, paraffin, dyes, mineral oils or any other chemical preservatives. Our formulas are thoroughly researched and clinically tested for safety and efficacy.
