Stress, energy and sleep (immunity in balance)
1) General tips (anti-stress & sleep hygiene)
- The rhythm of the day: get up and go to sleep at the same time (±30 min), 7–9 h of sleep.
- Morning light, evening darkness: morning 10–30 min of daylight; dim screens after 8pm (blue light = less melatonin).
- Caffeine with reason: ideally until 12:00, later replace with herbal tea.
- Micro-pauses: 2–3 times a day for 3–5 minutes breath 4–4–4–4 (inhale–hold–exhale–pause).
- Light movement every day: a walk, light weight training, yoga - stabilizes mood and sleep.
- "low-stimulus" evening: warm shower, book, gratitude journal; the bedroom colder and darker.
- Routine instead of willpower: short rituals (tea, diffusion, writing three sentences) win every day.
2) What to eat for peace and quality sleep
- Stabilize blood sugars: every main dish with protein (eggs, fish, legumes, Greek yogurt) + healthy fat + fiber.
- Light dinner in the evening (2-3 h before bed): protein + complex carbohydrate (rice/quinoa/potatoes) → support serotonin→melatonin.
- Magnesium from food: cocoa, almonds, cashews, leafy vegetables, legumes.
- Tryptophane & B-vitamins: turkey, eggs, cheeses (sparingly), whole grains.
- Omega-3 and polyphenols: fatty fish/linseed, olive oil, berries, cocoa (early in the afternoon).
- What to limit in the evening: alcohol (disrupts sleep), heavy meals, late-night sweets and energy drinks.
3) What herbs to use and how
To calm down during the day (without drowsiness):
- Lemon balm, passion fruit – tea 1–2 times a day; passion fruit and as tincture according to the label.
- Rhodiola (morning/morning) – tincture/capsule as "pure energy without nerve".
- Falsehood – balanced alertness, less "brain-fog" (rather morning).
For the evening (falling asleep & deeper sleep):
- Valerian – tincture/tea 30-60 min before bedtime.
- Hops, Lemon balm, Lavender – tea blends or tinctures; gently soothes.
- Chamomile – thrifty tea; in sensitive i hydrolate into water/pillow sprayer.
Aromatherapy & hydrolats (evening ritual):
- Diffuse EO: Lavender, Roman chamomile, possibly Neroli – 10-20 min before bedtime.
- Hydrolates (lavender, chamomile, rose): fine mist for the bedroom/sheets, also suitable for sensitive people.
In general: tea 1-3 cups a day, tinctures 2–3 times a day according to the label. Give stimulating herbs (rhodiola, schisandra). morning/morning; evening mix closer to sleep.
4) What dietary supplements to choose (energy during the day, sleep at night)
- Magnesium (eg bisglycinate) in the evening: muscle relaxation, nervous balance.
- L-theanine (afternoon/evening): balances "caffeine edges" and calms the mind.
- Glycine (at night): may promote falling asleep and sleep quality.
- Omega-3 (EPA/DHA): anti-stress balance, brain support and inflammatory balancing.
- Complex of B-vitamins (rather in the morning): nervous system and energy metabolism.
- Vitamin D3 (+K2): overall condition and immunity (to be taken in the morning/after meals).
- Medicinal mushrooms / adaptogens:
- Reishi – evening for relaxation and better sleep,
- Cordyceps – in the morning for vitality and resistance to stress,
- Chaga – antioxidant support and "calm focus" during the day.
Dosage always according to the manufacturer; keep the cure consistently several weeks. - In the short term: melatonin (low doses) in irregular rhythm/jet lag; but it is a priority sleep hygiene.
Mini routine
In the morning: face light + short walk, rhodiola/cordyceps, breakfast with protein.
Afternoon: stop caffeine, 1 micro-pause with breath 4–4–4–4.
Evening: warm shower magnesium, herbal tea (melodyne/lavender/hops), 10–15 min lavender diffusion, 30 min without mobile phone → sleep.
