What is it?
Levan has a bioactive quality and occurs naturally in small amounts in a variety of foods. It helps lower blood cholesterol, is anti-inflammatory, acts as a prebiotic and supports bowel function. In cosmetic products, the fructans, to which lavender belongs, give it great emollient power, up to 10 times that of hyaluronic serum. In addition, levan stimulates the production of collagen and elastane in the skin, helping to make it supple and soft. It also unifies the skin and improves its tone. It can also absorb UV rays, thus protecting the skin against premature aging. And, in short, it doesn't lose hair either. It strengthens their structure and smooths their surface.
