Shea butter is extracted from the nuts of the Butyrospermum Parkii plant by cold pressing. The butter becomes liquid at room temperature, has a white colour and a pleasant smell. Shea butter has excellent moisturizing effects on the skin. It is easily absorbed and softens the skin. It is commonly used in various cosmetic products such as balms, creams, shampoos, etc. It can help fight stretch marks, stimulates collagen production and also promotes natural sun protection. Other positive effects of shea butter undoubtedly include its ability to eliminate inflammation, help treat acne and blemishes as well as relieve itching and peeling of the skin. Use

• Scoop a pea-sized amount of shea butter into the palm of your hand and massage it into your skin, when it melts it will act like a body oil and soak into your skin within minutes,
• Apply shea butter to hair as a deep conditioning treatment - work it into strands from root to tip and leave in hair for an hour, rinse well and wash hair as usual,
• Melt a small amount of shea butter in your hands and then apply it to the ends of your hair to help moisturise them.
